Started working on these tracks during lockdown time in Auckland - April 2020 - to whenever !
A mix of original and favourite tunes done in Lo-Fi / Hi-Fi all at once with compositions by John McLaughlin, Charlie Mingus, Eddie Marshall, Bill Cunliffe, Murray McNabb and Neil Hannan.
All a bit of fun really - the album artwork features the inside of The Palace Restaurant and Saloon in Prescott, Arizona. Opened in 1877 and frequented the likes of Doc Holliday and Virgil & Wyatt Earp. The building was destroyed by the Whiskey Row fire in 1900 but the ornately carved 1880’s Brunswick Bar (which is still in use) was saved by patrons who carried it to safety across the street to the Plaza.
